World Olympiads Exams are generally conducted from Januray to March every year. Exact exam dates are displayed on the website well in advance, and also intimated to all registered candidates by email and other communication channels.

All the candidates registering online for Olympiads, will appear in online exams. Candidates may appear in the examination from their home or school using computer/laptop/tab etc..

No. Students may appear in the examinations of their choice, although we recommend appearing in all four examinations WEO, WSO, WMO and WCO for comprehensive assessment of the student.

Ideally one should appear in the examinations for the standard in which he/she is currently studying, or just completed. If a student is confident to appear in the examinations of the higher standard he/she can do so, however, a student can not appear in the lower standard in which he/she is studying. For instance, if a student is currently studying in standard V, or just completed the standard V, he/she can appear for the examination of standard V (or higher standards) but he/she cannot appear in the standard IV or below.

Yes. Any student can appear in the World Olympiads Exams as an individual.

There are several category-wise awards conferred to the students performing well in the WOA examinations. All the students appearing in the examinations are conferred certificates. For details of the awards, please visit the award section.

World Olympiad examinations are based on the internationally harmonized syllabus for each subject, therefore questions in the examinations are generally based on your school syllabus. For the benefit of the students, WOA provides detailed syllabi for each standard and we recommend looking into the syllabus in the respective sections.

We encourage schools to register their details with WOA exams, which will help school management to keep track of all the records of students from their school such as performance of the students, awards to the students, etc. Visit the 'register your school' section for registration of the school.
